Certified Master Financial Coach
Janet Wellerman
From Financial Struggles to Financial Coach
Like so many, my husband & I struggled financially for most of our life. It wasn’t that we didn’t want to improve our situation, we just didn’t know how to do that. In 2011 we reached the point of being financially sick & tired, and we found hope through a personal finance class. With a strong determination and using the skills we learned, we changed our financial condition. We eliminated debt, built our savings, and learned how to control money instead of letting it control us. We are just ordinary folks who learned some basic skills that allowed us to manage our money better, and I knew that if we can do it, others can as well. I’m passionate about helping others experience financial success, and that’s why in 2023 I became a certified financial coach, launched my coaching practice, and started this blog.
Many people don’t realize that their stress and anxiety are often directly related to their financial situations. Money troubles impact all areas of our lives, and it is also one of the leading factors contributing to divorce in America. So getting a handle on personal finances is critical.
Areas that I provide guidance for:
- Budgeting
- Debt – elimination, collection situations (foreclosures, student loan debt, bankruptcy, debt collector calls, other)
- Saving – emergency fund, sinking fund, long-term savings
- College – planning, savings options, grants, scholarships
- Retirement – goals and planning
- Estate planning – options, wills, trusts
- Insurance – what types of coverage should you have & why
- Other financial goals and dreams
You don’t have to struggle alone, and I would love to discuss how I can offer support & guidance to help you face your current struggles, and work toward your long-term financial goals.
